Principal's Welcome

Traralgon (Kosciuszko Street) Primary School classrooms are well resourced and staff create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for learning.

Our school has high quality, dedicated staff, who strive to ensure all children reach their full learning potential. The learning environment and school wide approaches seek to provide students with opportunities for choice and agency during the school day. We value the relationships with our students and their families and aim to create a strong sense of connectedness and pride in our school.

Traralgon (Kosciuszko Street) Primary School endeavors to provide engaging, safe and individualised learning opportunities for all students. Staff are committed to ongoing improvement and strive for excellence in teaching and learning at every level. The gradual release of responsibility framework (Fisher & Frey) is utilized by our dedicated staff to facilitate the delivery of lessons which build student knowledge and skills. Teachers work closely together in professional learning teams to plan curriculum and teaching sequences. This collaborative work ensures consistency of approach in lesson delivery and student expectations.

Promotion of positive behaviours which link to the school values of Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Readiness is undertaken. School wide expectations for behaviours have been identified and included as part of the teaching program. All members of the school community work collaboratively to assist students to develop essential knowledge, skills and attitudes.

Our school is set amongst attractive and spacious grounds with extensive outdoor playing areas. Classrooms are well resourced and staff create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for learning. We acknowledge student voice and leadership throughout the school and have a range of opportunities for students to provide input. At Kossie we develop close partnerships with our students and their families.

This website provides a broad range of information about our school. If however, you don't find what you are looking for, personal enquiries are always welcome, so please drop in to our school and or make an enquiry by phone. School tours are most welcome.

We look forward to working together with you and your child to ensure their educational journey is enjoyable and enriching.
